Ephesians 3:12
In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
Remember the last time you sat in a doctor's office waiting to see him for a medical problem? Perhaps you can recall the countless times you've sat in traffic while being delayed immediate access and clearance into an amusement park? Or, how about getting in to see a boss of a company for an interview? Here's one we can all relate to: Being put on "hold" when calling a customer service number.
In our everyday way of life, we are bombarded and surrounded with countless measures of waiting periods. Seems like nothing is available immediately anymore these days. We must wait in line at the grocery store, doctor's office, airport, amusement park, restaurant and wait for the next available representative when we call customer service. No matter whether we need something big or small taken care of, we are usually faced with long periods of waiting time.
May I remind you how extremely fortunate we are to have direct and immediate access to the Throne Room of God? Remember the veil which was torn in two so that we could have access to God at all times, without someone else going before us to offer prayers and petitions? With God, you don't have to listen to "elevator music" while on hold, wait in line to be seated to begin your conversation, or sit in a lobby while you await the time to see the Physician.
Going to the Lord is "Wait-Free". I don't know about you, but I feel blessed to have a direct connection to my Creator at anytime I wish. All I have to do is say His Name and He's there. What a wonderful privilege the direct access is!
Let this passage of Scripture be an encouragement to you that access to God is totally and completely 100% Wait-Free. His line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And....He has no secretary to go through. The appointment book is clear, His door is wide open and He's waiting for you to come and share with Him.
